We learned last week that the Well Women Centre has unfortunately had to close its doors due to financial reasons.
The Well Women Centre was a long-established and highly valued organisation in Wakefield and we were very sad to hear of its closure.
We have been working closely with NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and other partners to ensure continuity of care for affected individuals.
Last week we wrote to anyone who was receiving Talking Therapies at the Well Women Centre, or who was waiting to start, to plan for the continuation of support or to make alternative arrangements.
Our priority is to ensure people feel supported, heard, and informed throughout this transition.
