How can groups and courses support my wellbeing?
Our groups and courses are guided by experts to build your confidence and learn new techniques to use at home to better manage how you are feeling. You will receive the same treatment as one to one therapy, but with the added benefits of learning from others who are experiencing something similar to you.
We have courses to help with a wide range of difficulties and are a great way to get started quickly. People often feel nervous or reluctant to attend treatment in a group setting, however, there are many extra benefits of using this approach.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Groups
Our Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Groups run between 10 to 13 weeks, with each session being approximately 90 minutes. CBT group treatment helps you understand the roots of your difficulties and supports you by teaching you techniques to help you overcome any negative patterns, in the present. The sessions are led by a therapist who will support you to gain a personalised experience.
There are many added benefits within group therapy. The sessions can give you confidence and a feeling of safety, by exploring your difficulties in a group setting, with others who may be experiencing the thoughts and feelings that you are. There is no pressure to share personal experiences, however there are lots of opportunities to achieve new perspectives on your life; improve your relationships and improve your self-worth as you gain multiple sources of feedback from within the group to help you put together a manageable plan.
Group therapy can still provide an individualised experience, sharing compassion, understanding and empathy with others.

Interpersonal Therapy Groups
Our Interpersonal Therapy Groups run for 8 to 10 weeks, with each session being approximately 90 minutes.
In a safe and supportive environment, these sessions bring together people who share similar emotional issues. The groups offer valuable space for you to learn more about your low mood and depression, and to also enable you to get an understanding as to why your symptoms may persist.
The group aims to give you opportunities to practice new behaviours, challenge old ways of thinking, as well as gaining support from others. This form of treatment can help improve your self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of who you are, your communication style and your feelings.
