Mental Health Support for over 65's

Mental health difficulties are as common in older adults as they are in younger adults. Common barriers of older adults accessing talking therapies include the misconception that poor mental health is an inevitable part of aging. There may be experiences or changes that occur as we grow older which impact a person’s mental health, such as adjusting to retirement, becoming a carer, bereavement, declining physical health or loneliness.

It is important to remember whatever the cause, struggling with mental health is not a normal part of getting older. If you are aged over 65 and the way that you are feeling is having a negative impact on your life, we encourage you to access our service in confidence, to get the support that you may need.

We also welcome professional referrals from those involved in an older person’s care.
